2025 is HERE! Can you believe it? Just a few years ago, the thought of flying cars and AI-driven lives felt like the stuff of sci-fi. Yet here we are, navigating a world where those futuristic ideas are no longer just fantasy. Wild, isn’t it? It makes me wonder—what will life be like in 2055? Will we travel to other planets through consciousness? Will we board spaceships with our extraterrestrial friends? Maybe it’s a stretch… or maybe it’s not. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that anything is possible when you have a vision.
Over the holidays, I had the chance to reconnect with friends in the States. We talked about life, work, family—you know, the usual. But one thing stood out: no one talked about what they wanted to change. It felt like they were stuck in a loop, resigned to their current circumstances. So, I asked them one question:
“What is your vision?”
It’s a powerful question because how can we ever hope to change our circumstances if we don’t know where we’re going? Without a clear destination, how can the Universe map out a path to get us there?
Story Time!
When I was barely 20 in 2002, I moved back to San Diego to live with my mom. I was completely lost after graduating high school and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I had no vision or a feeling of purpose. The one thing that did spark something inside of me? Hollywood. During one of my cousin Robyn’s visits, we started making two-hour drives up to Los Angeles to see the Hollywood sign and hunt for glimpses of celebrities.
I remember sitting at the lookout, staring at the Hollywood sign with Robyn beside me. She had her dream—to become a professional dancer. I didn’t have a specific dream yet, but I knew I wanted to be part of Hollywood in some way. We fully lived the part, dressing the part, eating at restaurants we couldn’t really afford, walking down Rodeo drive like we knew what we were doing, acting like we belonged. Like NBD, y’all. Do you know who we are? HA! We had fun.
One day, we even bought a star map and decided to drive around looking for celebrity homes. We found Ozzy Osbourne’s house and drove past it at least a dozen times, freaking out every time we saw a dog or someone opening the front door. At the time, we had no idea that our fun—our vision, really—would eventually manifest into reality.
Years later, Robyn would dance in music videos for icons like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, and I would spend over 14 years as a Hollywood Stuntwoman, working on some of the biggest movies and TV shows in the world. Back then, we were just pretending, living in the excitement of possibility or even if it was just for fun. But that vision, with our excitement, set something powerful in motion.
Five years after those drives to L.A., we both ended up moving there—not because we had a solid plan, but because we had a vision. We didn’t overthink it; we simply dreamed big, leaned into the fun, trusted the process and ran through every open door that presented itself. The universe took care of the rest.
Sometimes the Universe likes to take it one step further and have a little fun. Check this out: My cousin and I use to “stalk” (and not really in a creepy way) celebrity homes, we only ever found one: The Osbournes’ house.
Here’s the funny part. While making side cash in Los Angeles and working on building my name in the industry, I regularly house sat for a family who lived in Malibu. And if you know L.A., anyone who has serious money usually has a home in Malibu and in Beverly Hills. And guess who their neighbors were? THE OBSOURNES! I went from driving past their Beverly Hills home (more times than I want to admit, omg so embarrassing as I write this) to seeing them nearly every time I house sat in Malibu.
I MEAN, what are the chances? That’s the Universe’s way of reminding us to keep dreaming, stay excited and have fun doing it because it’s all so possible.
There are early previews in life that hint at what is possible for your future. Those hints are simply what truly excites you.
The Power of Vision
Us humans have an extraordinary superpower: we are manifesting machines. We have the ability to create anything our hearts desire. Notice I said hearts, not just our minds. That’s where the real magic happens. Your mind must see the vision, but your heart has to feel it.
Whenever I’ve felt stuck in life, the only way out was to visualize something different. I had to see a new future before I could create one. Imagine being lost in the woods. If you stumble across a map, suddenly you have direction, purpose, and a way out. Without that map, you’d wander aimlessly, unsure of where to go.
Having a vision is like finding that map. It gives the Universe permission to work with you to create the path to your destination. Whether you call it God, the Universe, or some other higher power, it’s there to work with you—not against you.
Feeling Stuck? Start Here.
When I asked my friends about their vision, the most common response was:
“I don’t know what I want. I feel stuck.”
Sound familiar? I think we’ve all been there—trapped in cycles of stress, uninspired, and unsure of how to break free. When you feel stuck, the real issue isn’t your circumstances. It’s that you’ve become disconnected from yourself.
When we lose connection to who we are, we lose sight of our purpose. We start identifying with the labels, roles, and expectations placed on us, rather than our true selves. Life becomes reactive rather than intentional.
Rediscovering Yourself Through Vision
Here’s the truth: every single one of us comes into this world with a purpose. But life can distract us. It can bury our essence under layers of doubt, fear, and societal expectations. Eventually, we forget who we are and why we’re here.
But life has a way of waking us up. Those plot twists—the challenges, heartbreaks, and detours—they’re not punishments. They’re reminders. They’re opportunities to reconnect with yourself and realign with your purpose.
When you face a struggle, ask yourself:
“What is this here to teach me?”
Every challenge holds a lesson, and every lesson brings you closer to your true self. But if you don’t learn, the same challenges will repeat until you do. That’s the beauty and frustration of life—it’s a cycle of growth, evolution, and becoming.
Why Purpose and Vision Matter
Purpose is deeply tied to passion. And passion is the unique, unshakable stamp on your soul that makes you who you are. It’s your contribution to humanity, your gift to the world. When you discover your passion, you unlock your purpose. And with purpose, you’ll always have the ability to create a vision for a better future.
Your vision isn’t static; it evolves as you grow. It’s the tool you use to create new pathways, break free from old patterns, and manifest the life you were meant to live.
The beauty of all of this? Our free will. We have the chance to choose what we want and when we want. Visualize away and make it a good one. Visualize in detail, when life starts to become stressful, default to your vision for your future and your dreams. What you think about you bring about.
So, as we step gracefully and intentionally into 2025, I challenge you to ask yourself:
“What is my vision for this year? For my life? For the world?”
Because when you ignite the visionary within, you awaken the master creator inside us all. And from that place, there are no limits—only possibilities waiting to unfold.
Dream big. Manifest boldly. Evolve endlessly. Love hard.
