The Universe Never Lies

The Universe Doesn’t Make Mistakes

Do you ever stop and really think about how God, the Universe, or whatever greater power you believe in NEVER makes mistakes? I mean, we get upset when things fall through, don’t go our way, or when we lose someone, but after it’s all said and done, it always ends up being for the best in some weird messed up kind of way. We say we trust in God or the Universe, but do we ever truly reflect on how it all works? What kind of greater force knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and why? It’s mind-blowing when you stop to think about it. Like seriously—how does it all align so perfectly for our highest good?

There are moments in life when the truth of the Universe/God reveals itself so clearly that it’s impossible to ignore. Think of a time when everything seemed to fall into place unexpectedly—like meeting the right person at the perfect moment or receiving a breakthrough just when you needed it most. These moments are too precise to be mere coincidences. They carry a truth that resonates deeply within us. I remember struggling to make a decision once, doubting myself every step of the way. Yet the more I listened, surrendered, and allowed the guidance around me to lead, the clearer the path became. But this isn’t always easy—it’s a skill to develop and an awareness we must nurture, not take for granted.

We surrender. We trust. Because that’s what we’re told to do. But what I’ve come to realize is that, on some level, we intuitively know the future too. Let me share a story.

In February 2020, I fell in love with a home I wanted SO badly. It was a brand-new house nestled by a park with a beautiful sunset view. It felt like a dream. But I was $60,000 short. Still, deep down, I knew that house was mine. It wasn’t just a wish—it was a feeling. The realtor, Kim, showed the home multiple times, yet no one seemed interested. They even started calling it the “Shauna house” because I was so determined. But as they always say, surrender and trust—and maybe it will be yours. In a weird way, I felt like the house wanted me in it, too. I would walk by, visualizing myself living there, imagining every detail. But where was I going to find $60,000? That’s a lot of money!

I didn’t worry about the “how.” I focused on visualizing and holding onto the feeling of already having it. Every moment, I stayed in that mindset—it was already mine. Then one day, I went to the mailbox and found a residual check from a movie I had worked on over a year earlier. I had been waiting for this payment for what felt like forever. I’d called SAG (Screen Actors Guild) countless times, frustrated by the delay. But something in me told me to trust that it would come at the right time.

When I opened the envelope, the check was for $58,990. Nearly $60,000. The largest check I had ever received in my life (still to this day, too!)—arriving at the exact moment I needed it most. I was speechless. What are the odds?

On March 29, 2020, I purchased the home. The next day, the world shut down due to COVID. Looking back, I learned so much from this experience—not only to trust that things would work out but also that the Universe has my back and the best part: I knew it was mine, I felt it so deeply. When we trust and do the work, we align with a greater energy, one far beyond our own understanding. Never in a million years could I have guessed a nearly $60,000 check would just show up in the mail.

What I’m getting at is this: flow over force. How does the Universe know exactly what we need and when? It blows my mind. But it also makes me want to lean into working alongside this mysterious, powerful force.

Life is always throwing us curveballs, ensuring we stay on track. Sometimes, these detours feel impossible to navigate. We face situations we think we’ll never overcome. But when we look back, we see how perfectly everything unfolded. Right when we feel stable, life shifts again, taking us in another direction we didn’t expect. But the beauty is—it’s never wrong.

Einstein said it best: “Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better.”

Nature is one of the greatest teachers when it comes to perfection. It operates in perfect harmony, governed by unchanging laws of life, death, and renewal. The sun rises and sets without fail. The tides obey the moon. The seasons cycle through with unwavering reliability. Think of the stars: they are light-years away, yet their consistency helps us navigate the seas and map our place in the cosmos. Nature is a constant reminder that the Universe never lies. It always has a plan.

As humans, we often push against the Universe, trying to force our plans without understanding the bigger picture. When things don’t work out, we feel pain and frustration. But over time, we come to see how perfectly everything aligned. The Universe and God are always working in our favor, even when we don’t realize it. Isn’t that so wild to think about? Our human brains just cannot comprehend the complexity of it all.

Science and spirituality—often seen as opposites—both point to the undeniable truths of the Universe. Consider the law of cause and effect: every action creates a reaction. This mirrors spiritual teachings about karma—what we put out into the world comes back to us. Even quantum physics, which explores the interconnectedness of particles, reflects the ancient understanding that all life is connected.

Take a moment to reflect on your own life. Have there been times when you resisted the truth, only to have it revealed later in a way you couldn’t deny? Are there areas where you need to trust more deeply in the process? Because in the end, trusting instread of stressing would have given the same outcome but a smoother, less stressful experience? Aligning with truth often takes us to our destination much faster. Simple practices like meditation, breathwork, and journaling may seem small, but they are profoundly impactful. A greater power is always guiding us toward truth—it’s up to us to listen and act in alignment with it.

The Universe is like a compass, always pointing us toward true north, even when we feel lost. Just as a river carves its path down a mountain, truth shapes our lives—even in difficult circumstances. These metaphors remind us that the Universe always has a plan. It’s perfect, even when it’s not immediately visible.

Trusting divine timing and universal truth isn’t always easy, especially in moments of uncertainty. But the Universe wants us to succeed. When we let go of control and lean into faith, trust, and flow over force, the Universe—or God, or whatever higher power you believe in—will always have our back. It does not lie. It’s a wild concept to grasp, but even when we fall, the Universe is there to catch us when the timing is right—with tough love, but always with love.
