Born on October 24, 1982, in Burbank, California, I fell in love with sports early on. My dream was to redefine women’s soccer. Playing on boys’ teams only strengthened my confidence and determination. But life threw its first curveball when I was six. At a classmate’s birthday party, a stray golf putter struck my forehead, leaving me with a scar and a head injury that changed everything.
School became a struggle. I barely graduated high school in 2001 and moved to San Diego to live with my mom. Joining a world-traveling soccer team, to stall adulthood and hoping to find direction. My daily prayer, “Please God! What am I meant to do?”
During a soccer match in Spain, a collision with a goalie left me with lingering pain and worsening depression. My mom took me to Dr. Amen, who diagnosed a crack at the base of my skull and a hole in my brain—from years of soccer and the golf club. His solution? Medications for life or holistic healing through meditation, diet, and vitamins. Raised with holistic values, I chose the Holistic approach.
Shortly after discovering my results, my mom hosted a Qi Gong Master from China at her Yoga Studio in Encinitas, CA. She told Master Ming Tong my story and he said, “Send her to China with me next week and she will be healed in 30 days.” After much logical thinking on my mom’s part, she told me to pack my bags I was going to China! And off I went.
I experienced a profound transformation. For the first time, I could read a book without brain seizures. That trip to China changed everything—I came back healed, I fully believed in the power of the mind to heal as I healed my brain with my mind.
Determined to share my story, I became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and worked in an ER. But my passion for holistic healing clashed with traditional medicine. I pivoted to become a massage therapist, juggling multiple jobs. Then, a call came that would redirect my life: a fellow EMT asked me to be a set medic for a TV show. I jumped at the chance.
On the set of Terriers, I stumbled upon my true calling. A friend sat me down and said, “This is what you should be doing. Watch this." A stunt reel, I felt chills—this was it. I was going to become a Hollywood Stuntwoman. Training relentlessly and making a name for myself in the business, I built a 14-year career as a stuntwoman, fulfilling my childhood dream of being an athlete, not on the field as I thought but even better: On the big screen! I worked on some of the biggest movies and television shows in the world.
My life’s journey paired with being a Hollywood stuntwoman, in 2020 (such great timing!) I became a motivational speaker. My first speaking jobs were at Suicidal Awareness Events to Motivate and Inspire struggling teens through my story to give hope and tools for ultimate change. I still continue to get booked to speak to audiences everywhere.
In 2013, I became a single mom to my son, Kyson. Balancing motherhood, a demanding stunt career, and animal rescue work was exhausting. By 2023, I knew it was time for a change. I decided to move us to Costa Rica, driven by a vision to raise my son with life skills, independence, and unforgettable adventures.
Now, we’re embracing the Pura Vida lifestyle. I’m building a business inspired by my life’s journey. With big goals to share my passions and skills with the world in hopes to motivate others to keep going and to see that anything is possible. My life never went as planned—but it turned out better than I could have imagined.
Life’s plot twists and turns may feel overwhelming, but I now realize life is always leading me to exactly where I asked and needed to go to fulfill my dreams. Embrace the unexpected, and trust the journey—it’s taking you somewhere extraordinary.
